Hello and welcome back to Creative Knockouts!
The winner of our last challenge (#486) did not claim their prize and because we are now bi weekly, I am behind on a 2nd chance winner but that person is entry #61-Andrea La Vigne. Congratulations Andrea, please contact Kelly to claim your prize courtesy of Alex Syberia Designs!
Question for you.....would it work better if I chose a new winner mid challenge (which was my initial plan, but hasn't happened for one reason or another) if the first winner did not contact me in time? I think a week is long enough to check back in all honesty and it takes 2 seconds to see if you're the winner, but feel that leaving it for the full 2 weeks kind of puts things really behind and draws it out for claiming prizes for the sponsor and such especially if it takes more than one re draw for the winner to claim their prize....would love your feedback so please feel free to send me an email or leave a comment with your suggestions!

ReplyDeleteThanks x
DeleteThanks for asking for input from participants regarding prizes. Usually one week would be long enough to reach out to you regarding a prize, but you may want to factor in that sometimes people are traveling (such as going on a cruise) and don't have easy internet access. Giving a full 2 weeks may allow for anyone on a trip to have time to contact you. I hadn't ever considered this before, but I happen to be leaving on a cruise to the Bahamas in early March, and I opted not to pay for internet on the ship, so that's what made me think of this.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for the feedback Carrie! I will keep it as it was before, announce the winner every challenge, now it's just every 2 weeks instead of weekly:-) Enjoy your cruise!
DeleteGorgeous creations by the DT
ReplyDeleteI often miss the deadline on prizes due to my health and just not being able to get online, however thats just how it is and i wouldn't expect blogs to wait as sometimes i just can't catch up when ive been out for several days. You put so much effort into running these challenge blogs for us to join in and enjoy that it must be easy for you to keep on top of, so do what works for you. EmmaT
